The Yucaipa Amateur Radio Society (formally Yucaipa Valley Amateur Radio Club) is an amateur radio enthusiast club serving the Yucaipa Valley and Calimesa. Yucaipa and Calimesa are about 75 miles east of Los Angeles and 35 miles west of Palm Springs on the I-10 freeway.
The club has been in existence since1983 and has served the community in many ways. These include the local Community Flood Watch, providing communications for the Lions Club 5/10 k walk/run event, the Redlands Bicycle Classic and the Baker to Las Vegas foot relay race. We also provide periodic sessions on how to prepare for the licensing exams.
